Coloring Eggs

"Coloring Eggs"
This is a project that I created for Kits2Remember using Krew Kit #10. It came with a 6x6 acrylic tabbed album, chipboard sheets and even a metal sheet! It comes with Basic Grey paper, pink glitter paper, ribbon, sticker letters, and Heidi Swapp crystals. I like these kits because you can do wahtever you want with it... and it all goes together!
I used the Sizzix egg die, the sizzlets flourish die and the Stampin Up "top note" die (used on the front cover). I used chalk to color the eggs.
Here is a close up of the egg die. When folded in half it makes a great pocket. I used it to hold a tag that I had put some journaling on.I cut the flower petals out just enough that I could pop them off the page. I used zots glue dots to hold them "up" and in place!

It was a lot of fun creating this album for my beautiful neice and nephew (Mariana and Ian). Have a great weekend everyone!! Happy superbowl Sunday!

A little something

I have been SO busy lately... but wanted to post at least a little something... I made this for my kitchen. When I saw this paper, I just knew that it would be so cute in my kitchen. My kitchen has dark granite counters and red walls! So, I just couldn't resist! :o)

Of course, this is made using a 5x7" metal panel from K2R. I covered the magnets with matching paper and then topped them off with crystal laquer. The magnets hold the recipe in place.

Prima Ballerina

This is a little project I created using Krew Kit #10 from Kits2Remember. I still have lots from the kit left - enough to make a whole acrylic album!! The paper in the album is so pretty... and immediatley I thought of ballet! So, I thought this would be a perfect to make something for my wonderful neice, Mariana. I paper pieced the ballet shoes. I used a pink glitter paper. They came out really nice!
Until next time!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!! It is hard to believe that 2008 has come and gone... and here we are in 2009. Well, I am happy to say that my quest for some theraputic cleaning was successful! It was fantastic! Mal and Trevor went to Tahoe... Ryan and I stayed home. I got up every day and picked something or some room, to go through. Mom would come over and help where she could.
Before he left for Tahoe, Trevor and I spent a day in his room - closet, toys, drawers, desk... everything. Then Ryan and I spent the day in his room - same thing. If I knew someone that could use something, we gave it to them. If not, it was either thrown away or bagged up to give away. I went through my closet, and all of my drawers! And books! I took everything out of the hutch, washed it, cleaned the inside glass, and got rid of what I did not need. The hutch is so nice and sparkly now! I started in the kitchen... and had the carpets shampoo'd! It was awesome! You would not believe the amount of stuff I took to the thrift store!! This is a picture from the SECOND trip!! The first trip was even more stuff!! I went to the thrift store 3 days in a row!

Of course, I had more on my list than I could really do - but that is ok. I got a ton done! It was great! The carpet cleaner (Mobile Carpet Cleaning) was fantastic. They did such a great job! I will certainly be calling them back out in the future! So, now I have re-done my list... and will continue to plug away at things little by little... But what a great feeling!
